How does Latisse® work?
LATISSE® makes lash growth possible because of its active ingredient: bimatoprost. LATISSE® is believed to affect the growth (anagen) phase of the eyelash hair cycle in two ways: first, it increases the length of this phase, and second, it increases the number of hairs in this growth phase.
LATISSE® grows lashes longer, fuller and darker.
LATISSE® solution is a once-nightly treatment you apply topically to the base of your upper eyelashes. The results will appear to be gradual at first. You may start to notice more length in as little as 4 weeks. You should achieve maximum growth in approximately 16 weeks. This is not an illusion of growth. It is real lash growth.
How should I use Latisse®?
Latisse eye drops are usually applied to the upper lashes each night. Do not use this medicine in larger amounts than recommended. Using more of this medicine will not make it more effective.
Do not use this medicine while wearing contact lenses. Latisse may contain a preservative that can discolor soft contact lenses. Wait at least 15 minutes after using this medicine before putting in your contact lenses.
